People just don't understand.....

I'm here to enlighten you on the true artistic talent behind duct tape. Duct tape, for a long time, has been seen as "redneck" or "trashy"; but that is why I'm here: to defend, to the death, duct tape's oh-so-fragile honor.

First off, duct tape is not just for fixing things; that is way too shallow of a use. Duct tape has a great sense of fashion and should be looked upon as upper class. Duct tape is not cheap either. Depending on the brand of duct tape [sic] you do get it can range from $4 -$8, so choose wisely. But the real goal of this post is to get your frame of mind right so that next time you are sitting pondering intently upon the matter of duct tape don't just brush it off saying, " Bah, I'm becoming a redneck, I had better go fix me some tea and scones!" but say to yourself, "Aha , I'm moving up in my standing in society and will soon be looked upon as the source of duct tape knowledge!"

And from this point forward in your life you will have many friends and stay happy and prosperous the rest of your your long life (unless you try and bungee jump using duct tape then it would be the rest of your short life).

Bravo my friend.....couldn't agree more...
i guess the bungee-jumping really wouldn't work, would it? i mean....even if you got it strong enough to hold you, you would jolt at the end so hard it might kill you. *sniffle* i guess duct tape really isn't for everything.

At autumn, unless you used it to hold a cut bungee cord together, and made it strong enough, at Cory, you are silver, my friend, silver as duct tape itself.

My Cause is more Moral than Your Cause

Hello, sports-fans, and any other readers; Today's topic is the Civil War. First off, allow me to comment on the fact that this issue seems a little over/ ill used in what I have seen in my southern state, Texas. Most assume that, me being a Texan, I despise the illusory "Yankee" and quote the unattractive phrase, "the south shall rise again." However, I do not. Then they assume that I am unpatriotic. That I am a "traitor" to the south and a northern sympathizer.

Now, no one actually uses these terms, nor do they think by them (I hope), yet the accusations and arguments against me by many fellow Texans are clear of their meaning.
That being said, I shall tell you a little history lesson on what the Civil War truthfully was and what it did to us, Northern and Southern.

First off, why was the war fought? Two reasons, at least for the layman, for the politicians always have their own reasons; one, because the Southerners wanted freedom to do what they wanted; two, because the Northerners wanted to be a whole United States without any differences. Both had the best intentions in the world, but chose bloodshed in order to fulfill those intentions. "What about the slavery issue, huh? Does the Imansa-somthin' Proclamation mean anything?" NO! (gasp) Attention all people, slavery was in both the North and the South pre-Civil War. Slavery, under the guise of "indentured workers," was still being practices, willfully on the sides of both the slaves and the masters, by most of the same people after the Civil War. During the First World War, racism was still rampant.
But enough of that. Next point, who was fighting it? America on one side and... America on the other. Who lost? Who won? America lost, and... America won... at a dear price? So, that was bad, yes? So why would we, as the south, want to rise again if we are America? Leave America alone and fight someone else, get your frustration out on evil people like Russia or Iraq or somewhere.

Next on the list, what was the outcome, and what would have been the outcome if the South won? The North won, right? What happened? We turned from separate states to a super country of semi-imaginary states. Their is differences in the states, but now we are all controlled by big government. That is bad! Very bad. It is what free men fight against. So what would have happened if the South won? Not much better. It's not exactly clear since it did not happen, but imagine being Texas now with a separate country above us that hates us and is trying to kill us. "That won't happen because there won't be a North. We'll just..." Just what? Kill them all? Force them to join our super country of big government? Or worse, set a precedent of annexation and war that would continue for the rest of our history?

This is what would have been better; we should have never had it. "What about the slaves?" Make laws about the slaves. Don't allow them to be mistreated. I'm talking about the ideal now; this is not even possible nowadays because we can't change the past. All I am saying to do now is, for those Republic of Texas weirdos, stop telling me to be Northernist!

Butterfly!

Well, I learned some really awesome information about butterflies a while back that I'd like to share. Btw, pardon me if I get some of the information screwed up.

There’s all these little caterpillars beboppin’ around. When it comes time, the caterpillars make their cocoons in order to change into a butterfly, and when they do, they completely liquefy in the cocoon. As in, everything - organs, skin, little feet, it’s all liquid slurry (as my dad called it). Then the gooey glop (yes, that is a technical term) is transformed into a butterfly. Pretty awesome, huh.

Well, they did some tests (they most likely being some butterfly/moth scientists) and they took some caterpillars and gave them three or four different types of vegetation. On one of the plants they put some kind of smell. (like pepperoni pizza for example) and then every time the caterpillar would go after that plant it would get an electrical shock. Zzzzap! Well, after a while of getting zapped, the caterpillars got smart. Every time one smelled that smell, it would squirm away as fast as it’s little legs would go. (Just goes to show you that a caterpillar can be taught) Well, then came the cocoon. Like I said before, the caterpillar turns into fluid goo, and then it works its way (rather, God transforms it) into, in this case, a moth. As you’ve probably guessed, the moth would not touch the “pepperoni pizza” plant. It would fly away from even the smell. Hm? So, was the information passed through the DNA of the caterpillar to the moth? How else could it have been transmitted?

God is so amazing beyond words! This is just a little reminder of how His creation is so complex. We aren’t even close to figuring out all the little gizmos and gadgets He’s fashioned so beautifully. Thank you, God, for butterflies. Amen.

mmm?

If life were a box of chocolates, I'd go for Latvian. Yeah...it's REALLY good. I'd prefer it over any ol' American chocolate any day.

Can you imagine chocolate made in China? When that happens, you know the end of the world is soon.

Oh, I remember this one chocolate we use to bye in Romania, I forgot the name... it had a lemony center and was super creamy. Yeah, life should be a box of chocolates, however, I know what I'm getting in a box of chocolates, odd thing.

like she's really even releavnt...

I've so many problems with John McCain, it's not even necessary for me to think about Palin. But with that being said, some people think she matters, seemingly more so than 'Ole Johnny. A good, God-Honoring woman? It's the details that get ya, bob. Character matters, you know.

Take a peek at a few of the girl's responses to rather important questions.

(Katie) Couric: Do you believe that evolution should be taught as an accepted scientific principle, or one of several theories?

Palin: “Oh, I think it should be taught as an accepted principle and I say that also as the daughter of a school science teacher... evolution should be taught in our schools. I won’t deny that I see the hand of God in this beautiful creation that is earth, but that is not part of a policy... science should be taught in a science class.”

Couric: Would you say that you're a Feminist?

Palin:I do. I’m a feminist who, uh, believes in equal rights and I believe that women certainly today have every opportunity that a man has to succeed, and to try to do it all, anyway. And I’m very, very thankful that I’ve been brought up in a family where gender hasn’t been an issue...

Come on conservatives, especially Christians: Don't let the lipstick fool you...

Read the rest of the interview and remind yourself why you like her.

Oh wow....i just watched that video and lost my respect for her. Palin has some fine points but she's really almost apologetic about her beliefs. Can't she just answer with a yes or no? I'm rather confused now about her stand on the issues. And she supports evolution and "doesn't judge" aka is ok with homosexuality? My parents need to see this.
