the eid late late show - #1

It's 1 in the morning, and we insomniacs at the EIDNet spin some some great songs to get stuck in your head whilst attempting to catch some Zs. That's all there is to it.

Oh my.....why do I ever listen to your podcasts?
I guess it is somehow painfully delightful, like the persistent wiggling of a loose tooth.

and now... the invasion of the YOOT

The invasion has begun. It cannot be resisted. All that you can do is embrace the fact that The Nathanael - my 2 year old kid brother - is taking over YouTube.

never bet the devil your head

We at the EID Audio Studios are all avid fans of Edgar Allen Poe, a genius of a writer, with a clarity of writing unmatched by any author.

While scouring the history of radio productions broadcast before the creation of the EID Production Studios, we found a great dramatization of a very funny and satirical short story by Poe, "Never Bet the Devil Your Head - A Tale With A Moral", produced by the CBS Radio Workshop and originally broadcast on July 28, 1957. We would like to share with you this fantastic broadcast, please enjoy.
Never Bet the Devil Your Head
Produced by The CBS and rebroadcast for a new generation by The EID Network.

spaghetti sauce

Do you remember when spaghetti sauce was not salsa, but a smooth, creamy sauce? Back before jarred sauce, when it came in a can. Those were the days.
It's sauce, not salsa. Don't make it chunky.
What's the deal, spaghetti sauce companies?

suggest a podcast...

I live out in the country. To some, waaayyy out in the country. Thus, radio signals don't come in fantastically. Just so you know, I'm kind of late on the podcast scene...help me out.

So, I was checking out the podcasts on iTunes...

...and found the number of podcasts simply daunting! I have no idea where to start. I don't even know what I want to listen to.

What podcast(s) do you listen to or watch? Why don't you leave a comment with a list of your favorites?

Well, I just recently downloaded Itunes Radio a week or three ago - thanks to my great brother Austin - so i haven't spent much time exploring the airwaves. But I do have a few favorites so far:
1. Whisperings Solo Piano Radio - excellent soft background music to enjoy while doing school or something that takes considerable concentration.
2. AM 1710 Antioch - Old Time Radio!
3. Acapella - all styles of Christian Acapella
4. GotRadio - Jazz So Smooth

I like your signature but you don't have to bribe me with it. :)

Try the following (I think they would be Jeff Sr Approved):

Generations with a vision:
http://generationswithvision.com/

Mars Hill:
http://www.marshillaudio.org/

Covenant Radio:
http://www.covenantradio.com/

Heritage Foundation:
http://www.heritage.org/Press/Events/archive.cfm

These are not quite as exciting, but there is generally good information on these. Of course, I don't endorse 100% of anything these guys may say, but they are worth listening to. Also, I'm not sure if all have podcasts, you may have to download the mp3 and load it the old fashioned way.

Best Regards,

Matthew McBroom
