Excellence In Dishwashing - Product Review

We here at the Excellence In Dishwashing Network are constantly searching for the most efficient and innovative Dishwashing (a.k.a Dish-Engineering) tools and products. Most recently, our team of highly trained dishwashing specialist stepped up to the golden EID faucet and torture-tested a brand new dish liquid from Colgate-Palmolive: Palmolive Scrub Buster with "Micro Beads". Here are the results:
Product Specs:
Product Name: Palmolive Scrub Buster with "Micro Beads"
Liquid Scent: 'Citrus Blast'
Bottle Size: 20 fluid ounces
MSRP: $3.99 (USD)
Scrubbing tool used: A 6x3 inch double sided sponge, and the occasional plastic scraper.
The work to be done: The EID network 'washed-up' after a greasy taco salad dinner, the dishes for which includes plates, bowls, a skillet, a strainer, forks, and similar taco-salad-making implements. There were also some large bowls to be cleaned that had been used for making a Christmas chocolate-peanut butter trail mix, which was quite a task for our dishwashing specialists.
The Good:
The liquid seemed to be thicker than comparable Palmolive dish liquids, and so it will probably last longer ounce for ounce. The scent is pleasant, and not overbearing. The labeling is nice, fresh, and simple.
The Bad:
First of all, we must address the so called 'Micro Beads'. What in the world are those?! They don't do anything, they are just little orange bits of nothing that look interesting in the bottle, clearly and simply a marketing - and not a performance - ploy. The suds were mediocre, and did not last as long as expected. The cleaning power of the liquid is no different than any of the other Ultra Palmolive liquids - Middle of the road. Our experts' biggest problem was the shape of the bottle. The thin, wide design of the bottle was not desirable, and uncontrollable, especially in high stress dishwahing situations and in the left hand - the bottle was not designed ambidextrously, that is for sure.
The Verdict:
While a thick, nice dish liquid, the Scrub Buster line fell very short of our experts' standards. The 'Micro Beads' feature is bologna. Scrub Buster liquid doesn't belong in the Kitchen, it's merely a wimpy, pretty, hand soap. Nothing, as of yet, has currently stood up to the rugged, no-holds-barred performance of Ajax Orange dish liquid.
The Excellence In Dishwashing Rating:

2 of 5 sponges.
